Apply for an opportunity and report progress

Browse, request help and record each actual stage.

Before you start

Signed-in scholar. Browsing is available before profile essentials are complete; marking interest or progress requires the blocking essentials on file.

Steps

  1. Open Opportunities, browse the board and select a posting. Read pay, location, start date, deadline and what the organization seeks.
  2. If ready, follow Apply to the external destination when provided and complete that organization’s application there.
  3. Return to ESOS, choose the true statement in What changed? (I’m interested, I applied, I have an interview or I got it, as offered for your current stage), then select Save my update. Use I need help whenever you need support.
  4. Reopen the posting to check the saved statement and help request. Use the withdrawal or unsuccessful-result control when appropriate.
Open the task page →

Check the result

Your saved ESOS statement appears after reload. Interest is not an application; I applied is self-reported progress, not proof of external submission. Staff confirm a placement separately.

If something goes wrong

If controls are blocked, complete the listed profile essentials. There is no scholar form in this checkout to create a new board posting; send suggested opportunities to staff through your established contact. No external application link? Ask staff for the organization’s process.

Guide edition · October 22, 2026. Check your actual record after saving; a success message alone is insufficient proof. Contact program staff through your established channel and keep sign-in links private.
